Join Paybox Today!

Hello everyone! Sorry that I haven't been on here in a while to post new info. I've had the most hellish semester of my life at my college & all I could really do is put my head into the books and study. And I  mean study. But now I'm back into writing mode, so I'll tell you about the things that I have found (love & hated) over my 3 month departure.

On a random Internet check, I was posting an ad for a site when I saw a website that said that they would pay you $50 for trying out their product. It seemed harmless enough. Plus I thought that if they were pulling my leg, I wouldn't answer their e-mails ever again. I signed up for this program, which is called PayBox. PayBox is an up and coming payment processor. If you know anything about PayPal, then PayBox is fast becoming better than PayPal. So I signed up (this was on a Friday) and didn't log back until Monday. I was stunned to see how much I had earned for doing nothing. More than $100!

Now the drawback is, PayBox doesn't pay out this money until they "open the box". What that means is that they need up to 2 to 5 million people to sign up and try this out. Until then, we, as testers, get money deposited into our account but we are not able to use it. Now at the time, they also had a shop that was similar to eBay and people were able to buy real things on it! Now that site is down because they were just testing it out.

To be honest, I think that PayBox is an honest program. They have always deposited money to me just for logging in, taking surveys, and voting on things that can make their program better. A lot of people wouldn't waste time on this but I believe that the people that take advantage of this now (me included) will be compensated very well. So if you are interested in joining this program, sign up under me!

Get Microsoft Office FOR LESS!

Today I will be using my blog as a format to promote my Bonanza booth. I have had my booth since March 2009 and I never sold a penny. Not one. But this year, actually this month, I have been putting new products in my booth and I have gotten sales! Not the type of sales that make you jump up & down but at least I've gotten something out of it!

I am now selling keys for Microsoft Office & Windows. Now people must think that it's illegal to do this but rest assured, it's not! People are always looking for good deals & this is the best deal yet. Why spend more than $200 for a product that you can get for less than $50?

I'm a poor college student so I really have to pinch pennies to make ends meet. That's why this summer I actually purchased Microsoft Office 2007 for less than $20 and no one came after me. Plus the product is still working to this day.

So to make things short, please come by my Bonanza booth & purchase a product with me. I hope to see you in my booth & save you tons of money!

My booth's website is: Cajun Shares. I will be putting more products in my booth so do become a frequent visitor!

Until next time,

iOffer- the BETTER eBay

I know that I haven't been on my blog in a while but I decided to pay a visit to my readers. The topic today is iOffer. iOffer is a website that is exactly like eBay but it's more convenient like Bonanzle (if you don't know what Bonanzle is, read some of my earlier posts). Website: iOffer

As usual, I happened up on iOffer completely on random. I was looking for a TV series that had been out of production since the 2000's. I looked at what eBay had to offer and they only had one copy of the series that I wanted & for a larger price. So I did a Google search (I love Google!) and discovered that iOffer had the series for real cheap and there was many sellers of the series!

I was in heaven! I did do some more research within the site and I found a seller that sold me the complete series for $7.50 (and shipping was included!) I decided to try iOffer again. I had downloaded a free trial of Microsoft Office Professional 2007 but it did run out and I didn't have enough money ($300 +) to pay for the whole program. So I did a search and I found sellers that was selling the CD for under $50 but even better: there were sellers selling just the code for less than $10. $10! Now at first, some of the sellers had to stop selling it because their codes were illegal & fake but I did find a seller that actually worked with Microsoft and I purchased a code for $7.60 (no shipping). It did take me a while to download the program the way that he wanted me to but once I figured it out (which took me 4 days), I had the WHOLE program up & running. I can't say how much I was pleased that I got a program that is usually worth $300 for just $7.60! I was over the moon!

Now a bit of warning: a lot of the sellers on iOffer do sell replicated products from China & other places. You just have to make the decision if that is what you want or the real thing. Replicated things (like handbags, shoes, sunglasses, iPods, etc) are much  cheaper but you have to determine if you want that or not. I'm not saying it's a bad thing; I'm just issuing a word of caution.

The extra bonus that iOffer offers is that you can open up your own store free of charge! With eBay, you have to pay ridiculous fees and you lose money before you even get a chance to profit. Not with iOffer. They do remind me of Bonanzle because you only pay when the item sells. Plus, you can put as many payment options as you want (PayPal, Cash, Money Order, Credit card, etc) & you have unlimited pictures to upload! Yes, unlimited pictures!

Does iOffer have the buyer base of eBay? Not really but they are very close to over topping eBay. A lot of the buyers are looking for discount items & a lot of sellers are looking for cost-effective ways to promote their products. It's a win-win for everyone.

If you want to get good products (like Microsoft Office) for way below retail prices, head over to iOffer!

Till next time,

Driver's Ed

For most people, their driver's education started around the age of 16. Some people have gone earlier and some later. Much later. I will be part of the "much later" group and let me tell you, I'm scared out of my wits.

I have always wanted to drive ever since I was a young girl. I used to ride the go-karts at different fairs and amusement parks and thought that it was nothing hard to do. Until one day when I was 12, I went to my hometown's state fair and I couldn't get the go-kart to go anywhere. That's when I decided that maybe driving wasn't for me after all.

This year, a lot of young people that I know have been to driver's ed and one (my co-worker) got a new car from her father. So I would tell my mother these stories and she believed that I was jealous of these young people because they knew how to drive and I don't. To be honest, I only know how to drive a little. I can go forward and do small turns but I really don't know too much about a car and my mother won't let me touch her car for nothing in this world.

So for my 22nd birthday, she wanted me to write down 3-4 gifts for her to get for me. I actually didn't want anything but some teeth whitening strips and I told her so. But my mother decided to take matters into her own hands. She did buy me the strips that I wanted and the next day, a raincoat came in for me. It looks like something out of a Pepto-Bismol bottle but whatever. She said that my last gift wouldn't be in until Wednesday. I was so stoked! I thought that she would have gotten me a prepaid phone that I saw in Wal-Mart. But that wasn't the "surprise"gift. What she bought me was driver's ed lessons. My heart stopped when she showed me the receipt.

Everything that I feared is about to come true. She has asked me before if I wanted lessons and I told her no. I meant it too. I'm not in a rush to learn how to drive. I don't have a car to drive and my mother doesn't really have this type of money to be spending on craziness like this. I really wanted to cry and the tears were trying to come out but I held them back. I am so fearful that I'll fail the driving part of it that it makes me crazy.

I know that I'm old to be getting lessons now but I really wanted to wait until I got out of college or something so I can truly enjoy it. Now I feel like things will go horribly wrong but I pray they don't.

Writing as an Art

For a while now, I have been having a story in my head that needs to come out. It all started one night as I was watching a cartoon from the 90's (the name of it is Cybersix). I realized that I missed watching the series, so I went in search of it. At first, it was hard to find anyone that sold the series on DVD but by the grace of God I found 2 sellers selling it at a reasonable price. After some debate and financial checking, I bought it for less than $10 and I watched the whole series from start to finish.

Never in my life have I been so wrapped up in a cartoon! Sure, the Simpsons always makes me laugh but it was something about this cartoon that made me realize that the storyline was excellent. The creators of the cartoon should have never stopped working on it, although it must have had low ratings.

It hurt me to see the last episode of it but for some reason, I saw a way to extend the storyline. To be able to look at someone else's work and figure out a way to extend it is pure marvelous and scary all at the same time. But it's something about this story that screams, "Finish me!"

Personally, I love to write. The one thing that would tick me off about my English classes is the fact that you can't write the way you want; you have to write in the way that the professor wants you to. Writing should be a freeing experience, not confined to someone else's rules. I used to write poetry when I was in middle school but I eventually stopped. Looking back at some of my former work, I realized that I was good. Really good. I was constantly winning awards so why in the heck did I stop?

Then around 2000, I started a book on my computer. To this day, I have yet to complete it (mostly because some of the material I don't understand how to word properly). But ever since then, stories have popped into my head. I would love to be the next J.K Rowling or Jackie Collins but will I?

What I finally realize is that writing is an art. Once a story is in your head, it's like a fever. It's with you the whole time until pen meets paper (or fingers meet keyboard). Your mind is constantly changing it and making it better. So my little saying for today is, keep writing whether you make it to the big time or not. Keep writing for the pure sake of it.

Review of "Knight & Day"

On Sunday afternoon, my friend dragged me out of the house to see this movie with her. Thankfully, her sister paid for the tickets so I didn't have to spend my own money to see it (besides popcorn). To be honest and tell you, I can see why it wasn't a summer blockbuster.

The movie is about a lady (Cameron Diaz) who runs into a super spy (Tom Cruise) and it chronicles their travels together running away from some type of spy agency that looks like the CIA. Personally, for the first 20 minutes, I was lost. Usually if a movie doesn't capture my interest in 5 minutes, then I give it a bad rating. To just see an airport and see Tom Cruise's character kill everyone on the plane like it was nothing bored me.

The only highlights of the movie came from Ms. Diaz. She was totally funny in the movie and she kept getting drugged by Cruise and the bad guys. Seeing Cameron under the influence is hilarious! The whole point of this movie is trying to keep a battery that looks like a stripped Energizer away from the bad guys. But eventually the bad guys get it and it blows them up anyway.

I was confused at the part of Cameron going to Cruise's parents house. So Cruise gets shot and everyone thinks he's dead but he's not. Cameron goes to this address that she saw all the time on Cruise's phone and turns out it's his parents. The ending was quite weird too since Diaz drugged Cruise and stole him away from a hospital.

All in all, I give the movie a C-/D rating. The fighting scenes were good but the storyline was just too 3rd grade for me.

Mylot

Today I'll write a short post and I chose to blog about Mylot. Mylot is a forum-like community in which you can post things and make money. What I mean by post things is posting questions and answering other people's questions. I didn't know the payrate but I thought that it would be a good thing to try.

I posted a bunch of questions and answered a lot of people's questions. It reminds me of what Yahoo! Answers is now but we all know that Yahoo! Answers doesn't pay. I even skipped class in order to ask and answer as many questions as I could. When I logged into my account the next day, to my horror I only made eight cents.  $0.08!!! And I know that I answered at least more than 10 questions alone.

What Mylot advertises themselves as is another make money online opportunity but you'll just be working for pennies. I've only looked at the site when there is a good topic going on. The last time I effectively used it was to promote Procard International and although I got a few responses, no signups were received from Mylot.

So I basically don't sign into my account anymore. If you want to make money online, don't think that Mylot is the way to go.

Best Chocolate (and Chewy) Brownies!

So if you have been reading my blog, you know about the last brownies that I cooked (Supernatural Brownies.) Those turned out to be a complete disaster. But I tied up my heart and baked these brownies that I found on a Google search. And let me tell you, I had to get to page 5 on Google to find these brownies. But it was totally worth the search!

It was on a blog called Chew on That. The recipe is wonderfully titled "Best Chocolate Brownies" (recipe here: Recipe.) Most of the ingredients I needed I had already from the last recipe. All I needed to buy was the chocolate chips, baking chocolate, and baking powder. I really was taking a risk with this recipe. I was hurt with the last recipe and I thought that the same result would happen again: store bought tasting brownies.

I was supposed to make them on Saturday but I didn't want them to be too old. So I baked them on a Monday morning, since I was off from the Fourth of July holiday. I melted the chocolate and butter and the chocolate was so bitter! Thank God the recipe called for 2 cups of sugar. I added that and mixed well. Next, I mixed one large egg into the mix until it was fully incorporated. I had to do this 4 times, since I used 4 large eggs. Next came the cup of flour and one teaspoon of baking powder that I fully incorporated. Then I realized that I forgot to add some vanilla extract so instead of adding 2 teaspoons of it, I put 2 tablespoons. Accident but trust me, they still tasted wonderful with no heavy vanilla taste.

I then added a cup of chopped walnuts, since I like my brownies to have the nuts inside of them and mixed it all together one last time. I had my 13x9x2 baking pan already coated and ready to go. The oven was a toasty 325 degrees so I poured the batter into the pan and then sprinkled the top with a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. The recipe says to bake them for 45 minutes but I wanted my center to be chewy so I cooked them for 40 minutes.

I was so nervous. I was constantly checking up on them and I noticed that the cracks that were forming would have the chips sink in. When I took them out, they kinda looked funny. Not as pretty as the Supernatural Brownies but hey, who's judging? I finally cut them into bars 8 hours later and let me tell you, it was the best brownie I have tasted in 3 years. I was so happy!

My associate pastor was constantly bugging me to make some more brownies so I was too happy to let him have these. They came out with a pretty crust and the middle was perfectly chewy. They also came out thick so I got full on just one. Plus with the chocolate chips at the top, it makes them gooey. He was happy with these and they have been leaving at a fast pace! I doubt that they will be here tomorrow.

Today's a new day so I think I can down two (although I'm on a diet). I don't want them to go stale like the others! Finally, brownie success!!

Review about Dropshipping Wholesalers

In 2007, selling items on eBay was hot. I have always been interested in selling products on eBay but I wanted to do other things to generate money first and then come back to selling. I found this website on a random blog or Google search (can't remember) and once again, the website looked good. I printed out all of the testimonials and the long front page of what items could be bought for so cheap and then sold for high profits.

It took me 2 years to finally purchase the program. $47 is not easy to come by, but I had finally saved the money and found places to sell my products. Before I purchased the program, I talked to a guy named Ryan from Ryansreview.com. He had a list of top dropshipping programs and Dropshipping Wholesalers was listed. I e-mailed him constantly about the program and he said that it was good for a beginner but I should invest in Worldwide Brands. I couldn't invest in that because the membership fee is more than $200!

2 years passed by and I still didn't do anything. I had a choice of purchasing this program or buying some DVD's I really wanted. I should have bought the DVD's. Anyway, I listened to a crackpot psychic that told me that I would be profitable selling on eBay so I bought Dropshipping Wholesalers. I wish I didn't.

Once I purchased the program, I realized that the name brand products listed on their site is not the price that you would really pay. The honest truth is the products listed on the site are actually Chinese replicas that you can get at that price (I'll talk about that website in another post). Yes, they do have a directory for different categories of merchandise but you would have to spend more money on the genuine product than the profit you could make!

I've tried a few of the genuine sites that they listed but none of them made me money. The majority of the products I was trying to sell were in my Bonanzle booth. If you read my post about Bonanzle, you know what happened there: absolutely nothing.

My honest review is to not purchase this program. If you want to buy bootleg items and sell them for profit & go to jail, be my guest. But spending $47 on a program that you can do a basic Google search for the websites is not worth it. Now they do offer you a free website and ad credits if you purchase their platinum package (which is more than $100). I haven't tried it but I wouldn't want it if I couldn't make money with the regular membership. The testimonials are still the same; the only thing that's changed is the products they showcase to you. In future posts, I will tell you what sites I've tried to sell items from and see if you can fare any better.

The website is here: Dropshipping Wholesalers

Verdict: Don't buy; huge scam!

Best (and Cheap) Nail Polish to Use!

I have always loved putting nail polish on my nails, ever since I was a little girl. I would love pinks and then in my teenage years, I would have dark colors like brown and blue. One thing I have noticed over the years is that nail polish doesn't last too long. Unless you spend some hard cash to make it stay.

My nails have a hard job for them: typing, writing, carrying heavy loads, and the worst culprit, washing dishes. For any woman that washes dishes by hand they know that nail polish doesn't last at all. It's especially worse when you have just put on a beautiful coat and it all comes out in the dishwater.

My favorite brand for a long time was Sally Hansen. I always buy my nail polish at Wal-Mart and I have tried expensive ones and cheap ones. The cheap ones ($1.50 or less) would chip and/or run within one day of wear. The expensive ones like Revlon and OPI have run on me so horribly and the worst part is that they advertise long lasting wear for at least 10 days! The best one that I found as a teenager was Sally Hansen Diamond Shine. It was around $3-4 and I noticed that it would last for almost a week. I was so happy! But now that I'm in college, I've noticed that the polish that I had as a teenager isn't the same anymore.

I made an accidental discovery at my mother's favorite shop near my college. There was a display of some beautiful polishes and the price was $1.52 a bottle. I thought to myself that once I would wear it, it would chip off the next day. The total price came out to be $1.75. The brand of the polish is Klean Color and the first color I tried was Plum (a beautiful purple polish). To my surprise, it lasted as long as Sally Hansen would last! I became an instant addict! Now to be truthful, you can expect a good look for 5 days if you don't ruff them up too much. Putting on a sealing top coat lets the shine last longer and helps it continue to be chip-resistant. Although the polish dries fast, don't mess them up too quickly because it will smug and/or chip.

Right now, I have the color Blood on and let me tell you, it's a beautiful shade of red. Today marks the 7th day and the only thing you can see is the new nail growth but 99% of my nails are still covered. Some of the colors at the shop in my hometown are outrageous looking but they have some fantastic colors also. I will increase my collection and leave all of the Wal-Mart brands behind!

To see what colors Klean Color has to offer, go here: http://www.kleancolor.com/nails/KleanColor/NP48_nail_lacquer/NP48.html. On the website, it sells for about the same price as Sally Hansen but if you have a local wig shop or drugstore with this brand, you will save even more. I'm going to get more colors before my secret comes out!

Supernatural Brownies by Nick Malgieri

Another recipe that I have baked recently was the Supernatural Brownies by Nick Malgieri. I found this recipe because ever since spring hit, I wanted a chewy, thick brownie. I discovered this recipe on a forum and thought that it would be what I was looking for. The link to the recipe is here: Supernatural Brownies.

I was so excited to try this brownie. The first and last awesome brownie I tasted was some that my boss gave me and it was so chocolately and gooey I could have died peacefully in chocolate heaven. He didn't know the recipe so I was on a quest for the best and chewiest brownie I could find.

I baked these on a Saturday night, and let me tell you it was hot in my house to make these. The batter tasted excellent so I thought that I was on the right track. Even baking them in the oven was great. My house smelled like a chocolate bakery. But I noticed a problem when they were baking: when the top would crack, it looked like the batter beneath it was soft, not firm. I took them out after 45 minutes of baking and I let it rest for the whole night.

Sunday came and I was anxious to eat them. Unfortunately it was Father's Day so I really didn't stay home. When I finally got a chance to cut and eat them, I was highly disappointed. My worst fears came true. It was not chewy at all; they were soft & moist. I gave them more than 12 hours of rest and this is what I get? And to put salt in the wound, they tasted exactly like the Duncan Hines brownies in the frozen food section at Wal-Mart.  I spent all that much money for ingredients and all I got was store tasting soft brownies.

To all the people that reviewed this recipe, shame on you for lying to me! Everyone on the Chowhound website made me believe that this was a chewy & gooey brownie. They were all liars. If they liked brownies from a box but wanted them homemade, then this was a good recipe. But in future, I would just buy a $1.50 box of brownie mix instead of wasting money making this crap by Nick Malgieri.

I'm on a quest for the best chewy & gooey brownie out there. I'm hurt by this setback but I'll find it someday!

Texas Sheet Cake

Today I wanted to write a food review about some recipes that I have tried recently. At the beginning of the month, I decided to bake a Texas Sheet cake. I found it at random on a blog called Daily Dish Recipes. The picture of the cake just sent me on a frenzy! Ironically, my boss's birthday was coming up and we had no cake. So what did my co-worker suggest? That I make this cake for him.

First let me tell you, my boss is a Catholic priest. I really didn't want to kill a member of the clergy since I've been working there so long. Second, I was looking at the cake to test it at my home, not bake for a birthday party! Frenzied panic took over me thinking about how this was going to turn out. I was afraid that it would be horrible and not look anything like the picture on the blog. His birthday party was supposed to be a surprise so how was I to prepare the cake in his kitchen without him noticing me?

My co-workers got most of the ingredients that I needed to make and I had to buy some more because I wanted to make a test cake and the final product. If the test cake failed, there was no way in hell I would serve it to my boss to be laughed at. So I printed out this recipe and another one just for the illustrations but I followed the DDR one to the T. I did everything that I was supposed to do while my boss was in his office working. In truth, he was trying to figure out what I was doing but my co-workers lied to him. I know, we're going to hell in a wastebasket.

Anyway, the first cake was finished and I was excited to see how pretty it was. My co-worker in the afternoon was torn between cutting it and not cutting it. I took the leap of faith and cut it. I noticed that it broke up very easily but I only gave it like 10 minutes to rest. It was firm at the first 2 layers and the last layer was extremely moist. I thought that the sour cream was the reason for it. It didn't taste overly sweet although 3 kinds of sugar was used to create it. So the test cake was a success!

My co-worker tried it and loved it. So did my deacon and associate pastor of my parish. I had to call the other co-worker to get more ingredients and the one thing I didn't want to happen happened. My boss was headed my way! He turned around once he saw me & my co-worker in the kitchen hiding with cake in our mouths and I burst out laughing because I think he knew what I was trying to do. I created the final cake and had to do overtime to do so. This one I let rest overnight in another room, not the refrigerator. That would have been too obvious! I lied to my boss and said that the test cake was for my first co-worker's mother's birthday. She took a plate of cake home with her and my other co-worker because it was a huge cake!

All in all, when the truth came out the next day, my boss wasn't surprised. In fact, he was highly amused at the creative lie I left on his desk about the cake. He loved it and everyone else at the party although I was sweating bullets that no one would have gotten sick. In my honest opinion, I thought the cake was good but not what I expected it to be. I was on a brownie kick at the time and it looked like a big brownie cake (even with the pecan topping). But everyone enjoyed it so I lived with that. Success!

Bake it tonight and wow your family!

Final Procard Review

Well folks, we have come to the end of my journey with Procard. Like I said in the last blog, I only made $15; nothing more than that. I was hurt about that because of the fact that I had to pay for a card that I wasn't using but I couldn't even profit with their system. After 10 long months, I dropped the program.

Before I left, they implemented free websites for all current associates to see if their leads would turn out  better. Procard made a website personally for you and you could have designed it the way that you wanted (with limitations). You were responsible for getting traffic to your site but they gave it free for all of us. Anyone that joined afterwards had to pay around $15 just for the website. Even with the website, I didn't get much leads and didn't get any signups. That was when I realized it really was time to call it quits.

What I'm trying to say is that although the work is simple, it's not profitable. Their opportunity is totally legitimate but for me, it wasn't profitable. They are not a scam and they do have good ratings with the Better Business Bureau. The lady that I had first talked about the job with told me that she left and did odd jobs afterwards, mostly surveys and freelance work. She never told me why she left Procard but I believe that it was for the same reason. So I believe that if you want to work for them, go on ahead but you will be disappointed with them if you don't see the results that they promise to you.

I have nothing against Procard. I enjoyed the help that they gave me and all the associates were sad to see me go since I was so active with them. I will tell you though that I don't miss having to upload leads via MySpace and worrying about people signing up with me or not. I never tried out the Marketing associate side of the program but I do know that in a way, Referral Rewards is e-mail and phone calling all in one. Soon after I left, Procard did contact me, wanting me to come back and they did offer me 100 free leads to come back. But I didn't want to be disappointed again and lose all of my money. They still do e-mail me from time to time but not much anymore.

If you are interested in joining Procard and still have some more questions, please feel free to leave me a comment after this post. I'm happy to help anyone who needs it, just like the lady before me helped me.

Best (and free!) Autoresponder to Use!

Last post I talked about e-mail marketing and what autoresponder I was using. The name of the website is SendFree (website: SendFree). I never knew how to use an autoresponder but trying out 3 or 4 of them before I winded up there gave me some practice.

You can sign up for a free account but I loved so many things about them that the other autoresponders didn't have. First, when you input a lead into your autoresponder, it will automatically send out the message to them, without having to click on a link like Get Response. Second, you can try their Bronze level free for 30 days and see if you like it. If so, it's just $19.97 (last time I checked) a month. Thirdly, every (and I mean every) e-mail message that you send to a lead gets into the leads inbox. No questions asked! I test drove this system myself and let me tell you, every message I sent to my leads got to my inbox so I didn't need to worry if it was getting into the Spam box (like with Get Response). Fourth, they also have a referral program. You do get paid if you let your friends and/or co-workers know about their autoresponder and they pay via PayPal. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

The tricky part was to get all my names into my autoresponder. You can input 10 or 20 leads from the website but any more than that, you have to put the names in a lead form.  You do have the option to upload your leads to the website and send them out that way, but my messages got into the Spam box. So what I did was created another MySpace account (which was free to create) and typed in the leads by hand. I assumed the role of the lead, so to speak. I would sign up from my form that I had on my MySpace page and typed in a code to make sure that I wasn't a robot and my messages were sent! The best thing to do though is to make a new account with MySpace if you already have one so you won't get confused.

It would take me all afternoon to input the names but it was worth it. Another perk is that you get to select on which amount of days to send out the e-mails, plus you can personalize them with the leads' name! If I wanted a message to sound more personal, SendFree took care of me. Plus at the bottom of each e-mail message, your lead can click on a link to take them off of your autoresponder. There is a section on the website that shows you all of the leads who have dropped from your autoresponder and doesn't want to receive any more messages from you. This was also a lifesaver because I was able to tell who wanted my info and who didn't.

I told everyone on the forum about this autoresponder and so many people thanked me for the info. Some people left their old autoresponders for this one and some were making money referring each other! I didn't use my refer link which I realize was a mistake now because of the fact that a lot of associates signed up!

Well after that huge discovery, I got a lead to sign up! Yea! It took me four months to get her but at least I got one! I had to track the lead down because Procard lists leads that signed up without a sponsor. The good thing is, if that lead was on your list and they signed up without your code, you can still claim them and get paid! The lady I signed up was kind of a disappointment. I did try to contact her and get her to work but after a month, she dropped the program. So in reality, I was only paid $15 for a signup.

Tomorrow will be my final post about Procard. I know that you are tired hearing about it but I wanted these posts to be detailed for anyone who wanted to join them. I'm giving an insider look that no one else can give!

Until tomorrow,

Procard Part 4

pE-mailing leads is a difficult process. Sure, it sounds easy but it's not. The first leads I e-mailed either didn't respond back to me or was taken off of my list. Once I started posting on the forums and making comments to Procard, my lead count got bigger. And bigger. Now to some people, that sounds good since leads = money. But the time to contact all of them was no easy task.

I tried everything to get customers. I even signed up with free lead companies to give me leads for work at home opportunities. I did free advertising, which was tiresome and frustrating all in one. I posted fliers around my university, hoping that someone would respond back to me. I was burned out within the first month.

I have been cursed out at, given the runaround, wasting minutes on my phone because people don't know how to keep a conversation short, and much more. But I stuck with it because I was looking at the potential to make money, although I was still flat broke.

One other thing to add: in order to work for Procard, someone had to purchase one of the discount cards. I had purchased the cheapest one (the Dental Plan) and it was costing me $15 a month. Now to me, that was hell all in itself because I wasn't making any money but yet Procard still got my $15 a month to get insulted. If someone purchased the card for you to work with them and they decided that they don't need the card anymore, either you or someone else will have to purchase a card; otherwise, you are no longer an employee for Procard.

I noticed in the forums that you could try Mail Merge in Microsoft Word. Since I was on a shared computer, that wasn't going to happen. Another person suggested an autoresponder. An autoresponder is a system that lets you send out e-mails automatically on a specific number of days. The most popular one is Get Response. I signed up for a free account and let me tell you, I hated it.

With Get Response, it was too difficult. The website even had videos to help you out but I didn't understand them! Plus, for your leads to receive your information, they had to click on a link saying that they would like to receive it. That was double the work since my leads already signed up for this info! After a week or two, I decided to leave it for something better. The lady that I originally talked about Procard gave me a list of autoresponders that she used while working for Procard. I found a gem in one of them and I never looked back.

My next post will be only about this autoresponder that I used. After that, I will give my overall summary of Procard International. See you tomorrow!

Procard Part 3

First off, I'll talk about the pay rate since that is what you are dying to hear! For the Referral Rewards, you get paid $15 when a person signs up under you (kinda like MLM although they say that they are not a MLM company). When a person signs up under the person that signed up with you originally, you get an extra $2. The more people that sign up under the original person, the more money you make. Plus, if the person that originally signed up with you stays as a member, you get $2 extra per month. So it would look like this:

You
Sally- you get $15 for signing up Sally
Sue signs under Sally- you get $2 more dollars and Sally gets $15 for signing up Sue
If Sally stays for another month- you get $2 more dollars
In total- $19

Now that doesn't sound like a lot of money. But what if every lead that you received when you joined signed up? Then the $15 commission would add up! With the Marketing associate, you get paid only $15 when someone purchases a discount card from Procard. There is no extra money to be made when someone signs up; $15 is the flat rate payment.

I copied as many scripts as I could into Microsoft Word and put them on my USB drive. I also created some scripts that sounded more personal to my leads plus it would let them know that I would help them as much as I could being their sponsor. I already had an e-mail account with Yahoo! so I created another one, just for Procard e-mails. I sent out my first e-mails, but some things didn't turn out right. For starters, some came back to me as bad e-mail addresses. I could have replaced them because Procard lets you replace leads that the e-mail address is invalid or no longer working. None of my first batch responded.

While I was starting to become frustrated, I started chatting on their forum board. Now the good thing is, with the forums you get information from people about what works and what doesn't, plus you also get a chance to talk to fellow associates about what you are going through. There was a lot of experienced people on the forum and they had as much trouble as I had. One associate said that she never got a sign up until 4 months after she joined. 4 months! I freaked out even more. One great thing about posting on the forums is that after 5 posts, you get 10 extra leads just for posting. Neat!

A lot of people were complaining about what e-mail account to use. Some used Yahoo!, some used Gmail, and some used Mail.com. Now I made an account with all of them but I mostly used Yahoo! because it was easier to check on my phone. The good thing about Mail.com is that you can personalize the ending part. Mine was @consultant.com. But I didn't use it much because I had difficulties at the beginning of its creation.

Well, I will talk about the struggles I had with e-mail and the one thing that made it all easier. If you are e-mail marketing, this tip might save you some steps and hard work! Next time on.....

Procard continued....

Once I joined up with Procard, I didn't have a sponsor. I had been out of their system so no one claimed me as their sponsor. I was a "lost child", if you could call me that. When you sign up your sign in name is your first name, last initial, and last four digits of the phone number you provide. Your password is whatever you want it to be, but it must be more than 4 or 6 letters/numbers. I was so excited to log into the member's area!

The lifeline of the program is one things: leads. A lead is when someone signs up for more information for a product via the Internet or over the phone. Procard gets tons of leads per day; these are people who are interested in working for Procard and want more information about the job opportunity. When I originally signed up the first time, I was a lead and my name was on a potential list of people to become "active". Being active just means officially signing up.

I chose to be a Referral Rewards associate since the job seemed more easier than the Marketing associate position. The Marketing associate's job is to convince their leads to buy a prescription card with them. They only have 10 leads to work with at a time. They have phone numbers instead of e-mail addresses to contact their leads. The only downside to this position is that some people love to give the runaround and you can't exchange the leads for new ones until all of them have said that they are no longer interested with Procard's plans. With Referral Rewards, the associate gets a list of names & e-mail addresses and sends out information about the company to these leads via e-mail. You can exchange leads that have declined to receive more info after you accumulate 10 leads. Plus, if some of the leads have phone numbers, you can e-mail them and call them about the job opportunity.

The second lifeline is scripts. A script is pre-written messages that associates could copy, readjust to their needs, and send out to the leads to sign up. Procard provided us with plenty of scripts and they also created new ones for spring, summer, winter, and holiday plus special promotions. You could also create your own personal message to e-mail to your leads if you wanted to but Procard has you prepared.

Another good thing Procard provided was customer service. If you wanted to talk to someone, their e-mails were always less than a 2 hour response and when I joined, they had live chat! It was so good to have live chat when you were confused about all the information that you were learning. A bonus that I utilized alot was getting extra leads for suggestions. If you saw something that was wrong or misspelled or you had a great suggestion for the company, Procard would give you 10 free leads. That alone made a lot of my lists.

Well I'm out of time for now. Tomorrow I will talk about the forum boards, what happened when I first e-mailed my leads, and the pay rate schedule!

Procard International

For the first time here, I will give you an in-depth look at a program I've tried called Procard International.  This post will take me a lot longer than the other posts I have done, but it's totally worth it if you are interested in joining with them. In actuality, this will be a series of posts. I first found this site through a "data entry" job website that supposedly listed real at home jobs for its members. When I looked at Procard, I thought that it was just a site to help people with their prescription costs. But actually, it does do that and it gives jobs to people who apply. Once again, I printed out the testimonials section (which had a lot of people talking about how good Procard was) and I was able to take a good look at the website. In actuality, it took me a long time to join this program.

Everything on paper looked good. There was two jobs that an associate of Procard can do: Referral Associate or a Marketing Associate. Procard tells you from the get-go that the Referral Rewards (as it's called) is much easier to do than the Marketing. The catch is that you can't do both jobs (Referral and Marketing) at one time. If you decide to become an associate of the Referral Rewards, you can't do the Marketing Associate position (and vise-versa).

I was really skeptical about doing the program. Whatever seems to look good, isn't good. But I had the considerable fortune to talk to one of the programs' former associates. I won't use her name here but she is one of the people listed on the testimonials page. She gave me great information about the program. She told me more about what an associate does and although she didn't tell me how much she made with Procard, she told me that it was a legitimate program to sign up for. The amount of e-mails that I sent to this woman with questions was huge!

I did sign up to become an associate with them, just to get a feel of the job. With this program, it's crucial to have a sponsor.  If a person is interested in working with Procard, you can sign up as an associate for 7 days. After that, you are dropped from the system unless you don't want them to take you off the potentials list. Sometimes, you can even get an extension for 2 more days. A lady wanted me to join so badly and it seemed like she didn't want to answer my questions like the other lady did. In the end, I didn't sign up with them but Procard always kept in touch with me. That gave me a chance to do more research on their program, just to see if I was doing the right thing.

Like other sites, this site gives you an estimate of how much you can be earning with them. Their pitch is that you can earn up to $30,000 a year if you work diligently with the program. I'll talk more about how the pay rate is broken down for the two types of associates but $30,000 a year sounds good to a student going to college!

I thought, like other people, that this was a free opportunity. This is not so. There is two ways to become an associate with Procard: you either find someone to purchase one of their health reducing costs cards OR you purchase one yourself. A lot of people want the first one to happen but more than likely, you have to purchase a card for yourself. It took a lot of hard work and money saving but on March 27, 2007 I signed up to become a Procard International Associate.

This is a link to the website: Procard Jobs. I'll talk more about what happened next time!

Lady Gaga's "Alejandro"

To be honest, I didn't know what Lady Gaga's next music video would have turned out like. The last one, "Telephone", was a complete travesty to me. She took the concept of the original song and turned it upside down with the video. Nothing made sense in "Telephone" and it was so long, it could have been a movie. If I wouldn't have read comments and reviews about "Alejandro" beforehand, I would have been lost on the concept.

Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" shows the viewers issues that seem to be close to her heart: gay rights, the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy in the military, and the Roman Catholic Church's crucifixion of gays & homosexuals. Although reviews have said that it's more tamer than what she usually does, I still disagree. Sure, it's less provocative than "Telephone" but children still can't watch it under a certain age.

My first question is, "Who is Alejandro"? Throughout the video, nothing really signified who this person was. I guess he was the guy in the coffin; I still don't know. Second question leads me to the beef she has with the Catholic Church. She was raised Catholic, so she knows that our rules are very strict and judgmental on homosexuality. I know she was trying to send a message but Madonna beat her to that issue more than 10 years ago. Next....

Overall, I think that I loved the song more than the dancing. I'm listening to it now and it's much better than the original "Alejandro" song. I think that this music video makes her look more like Madonna with her crazy gaga personality thrown in. Good, but not better than the "Bad Romance" video. That has to be my most favorite Gaga video (followed by "Poker Face"). At least these two videos showcased the song perfectly with the right concepts. What happened to the Lady Gaga of those days?

I've loved her songs since "Just Dance" came out. I know how to separate the crazy antics of Gaga and fully appreciate her songs for what they are. But I think the money and fame has truly gone to her head. With each successful song, the concepts for the music video get stranger and stranger. Well, until she reverts back to her old days, I'll keep watching "Alejandro" to find the real message of it.

Bonanzle- the new eBay?

Today I wanted to talk about a growing alternative to eBay. The website is called Bonanzle (website: Bonanzle) and it was created in the summer of 2008. I discovered them last year out of an AARP article (the book was for my mother, not me!) when I was trying to sell things for profit. Everything looked good to try out so I made an account. I have been a member with them for a year and I wanted to let you know if you should use them or not compared to eBay. First off, I'll list some pros and cons about them and then give a detailed description of each bullet.

Pros:
  • Free and easy to start up.
  • No listing fees
  • Can load up to 4 pictures per item
  • If the item sells, they will only charge you $1-$3 as final selling fee.
  • Awesome forum to meet new friends!
  • It's like having your own online store!
  • You can have a certain amount of percent taken off your merchandise!
  • Your products will remain there until you take them down from your booth.
  • More than one payment option (besides PayPal)
Cons:
  • As with anything, you need to generate traffic to it in order to sell
  • Sometimes if you're not selling, will probably do games on the forum to get someone to buy from you.
  • There is more sellers there than buyers.
  • It may take days, weeks, even months or years to sell something.
So, the pros first: It's wonderful to see that they don't charge you for selling your products with them plus it only takes about 10 minutes to set things up. I was excited to see that there was no listing fees. No listing fees! Hot dog! Plus, it was awesome to see that you could upload more than one picture and not get charged like eBay does. Another good plus is the final offer fee. If the item sells for less than $1,000, you hardly get charged anything! Plus you have the option of having the FOF taken immediately after the sale or at the end of the month (sort of an I.O.U).

Now Bonanzle lets you sell all of your items in one go. It's called a booth. It's similar to an online store. Everything is showcased to the customer at one time so if they find more than one item that they needed in your booth, you make more profit instead of a customer going somewhere else for the product. Neat, huh? It's very simple to take care of plus you can design your booth any way you want.

The forums are excellent places to meet new friends and find potential customers. To be honest, the majority of sellers on Bonanzle are people who used to sell on eBay but once eBay's prices got too high and/or eBay ticked them off, they left and found other places to sell, Bonanzle being one of them.

Another thing that got people to Bonanzle is the option of getting paid without necessarily using PayPal. Some of the sellers were scammed by PayPal so Bonanzle offers payments of credit card, check, cash, Google Checkout, and PayPal. Also, there is no time limit as to how long your products can remain in your booth. If it doesn't sell, the product is still there next week and so on. With eBay, if you listed a product, it had to sell otherwise you lost out on your listing fee. Not so with Bonanzle.

The last bonus is that you can host a "bonanza" in your booth. A Bonanza is a one day sale that can last between 1-3 hours. Basically the website promotes that you are having an upcoming sale (a bonanza) which leads traffic to your site. You can choose to have a 5 to 95% off sale in your booth. The more higher the percent off, the more sales you're more likely to have. The downside to this is you can only do this once a month.

On to the cons: With anything online, you have to market it to the best of your ability. Bonanzle does give you tools to do this. Blog about it, Twitter it, Facebook it, add lines at the end of your e-mails about it, etc. The biggest tool they offer is Google Base. It the place where you can upload your booth items and have them show up in Google Products searches. It can also tell you daily which products are getting the most clicks and impressions. Even with all this help, you still might not get a sale.

Another con is that there is too many sellers on the site and not enough buyers. With eBay, it's a global traffic house. You can list an item but it has a good chance of being sold without having to make friends with the customer. Not so at Bonanzle. Sure, you might luck out with a few sales but mostly everyone there is a seller. You won't make too much profit because everyone wants you to buy from them first! No customers purchasing = no profit.

That leads me to the games in the forums. Sometimes there is games in the forums that let you purchase a product from another booth with the promise of the other booth to buy from you. It's like tit-for-tat. I didn't like the idea of it because I wanted someone to buy products from me and not have to shell out my own money in return. That's a loss!

The last con is that you're not guaranteed to make huge sales from them. I have been with them for a long time and I have not made a sale. Not one at all. I would go to the forums, put my site in traffic exchanges, talk about it all day long, and still not a sale. You can check out my booth here: Cajun Shares.

My opinion: Try it at your own risk. I'm not saying that they are bad; it's just that eBay offers more traffic than what they can offer. Now in defense, Bonanzle has more and better features for their sellers. Try them and let me know what happens for you. Although I failed with their system, this just might be what you are looking for as an alternative to eBay. Bonne chance!

Why Bella from the "Twilight" Series Irritates Me

So many girls wish that they could be Bella Swan right now. So many girls would love to have a boyfriend that can live forever and truly loves them (plus the added bonus of another hot guy after them)! But to tell you the truth, I wouldn't want to be Bella Swan. Here are my reasons why. If you haven't read the books yet or decided not to read them, then this post ain't for you.

  1. First off, Bella is too dependent on Edward's love. Where is her sense of self? It's like he is the only reason that she breathes and although it sounds romantic, it's sickeningly unreal. As a single woman, I would love to dream about my boyfriend but to completely and utterly rely on him just isn't me. Maybe that's why I'm still single.

  2. Bella has no hobbies besides being with Edward. Usually, if a person is in a relationship (whether casual or serious), there is time for both people to go to their respective houses and wait for the next meeting. She has no talents, hardly any jobs, really nothing to keep her occupied until Edwards visits her at night. To have a guy crawl into your bedroom window is kinda freaky to me. I would have shot him too long to talk about.

  3. She has a best friend who loves her just as fiercely as Edward does but she strings him along. I know that Jacob was a good friend to her and got her out of a major depression when Edward left her in the second book New Moon, but she should have made her boundaries clear. Never would I string my best friend along thinking that there was a possibility to be anything more than friends.

  4. She basically has to make a hard decision when it comes to Edward: either turn into a vampire and live forever or stay human and die anyway. To me, I wouldn't want to have to make that choice. Yes, her love for Edward is strong but hell, would I want to live forever?? Probably not.

  5. The actress Kristen Stewart portrays Bella with a degree of boredom. I could play Bella better and have more soul in it! I know that she's a shy person but although the movies are a success, she still bored me to a certain degree playing Bella. The Bella in the movies seems lifeless and hardly emotional. Not like the book puts it.
Well, I know that I must sound like a Bella hater but I'm not really. I just think that what she portrays in the book is completely absurd. It makes young impressionable girls think that there is such a thing as "love that never ends" and that they'll all find someone like Edward to love. The biggest shock is to see mothers liking this book. Hello, don't you have some grownup romance novels to read that make more sense?

In my opinion, Meyer is not better than J.K. Rowling. She didn't do as much hard work than Rowling did with the creation of her characters. Yea, we all criticize "sparkling" vampires and people who look like gods but we are all right. Why does the vampires "sparkle"? Plus, all of Meyer's research probably was a simple Google Search. Not too imaginative to me. I'm glad that she made some money off of the series but if I could rewrite it, I would.

Ignotius Associates Program- Stay Away From It!

Hello everyone! This is my very first blog and from personal experience, I have been scammed out of my wits trying to work from home. My blog will talk about some of the companies I have tried and which ones are scams or worth your money. Although you don't know me, I'm telling you the absolute truth and NOT copying off of someone's website (which could be full of lies anyway). So to kick things off, I want to talk about an online opportunity called Ignotius.

I first found this website on a random Google Search in 2007. At the time, everything looked really good. You can check out the website here: Ignotius Associates Program. I glanced over it but I was really interested with the testimonials. Each and every one of them were positive, plus they made the work that Ignotius was offering sound to be very simple and highly profitable.

The website looked absolutely legit, but I wanted to investigate further. I did another Google Search on the program itself and although there wasn't a lot of information to look at, the reviews were positive. I even saw a post on a "mothers working at home" forum talking good about the program.

Usually, if I'm interested in a program, I print it out, look over it, and keep reading it over and over and over again. There was a red flag sticking up at me but like a dummy, I chose to ignore it. The website listed a telephone number that you could contact them by. I called the number that they listed under their support section and even e-mailed them. Both attempts to contact someone failed. Ironically, Ignotius could send me e-mails about how awesome their program was but I could never e-mail them back, no matter how hard I tried! Even with this big red flag of no communication, I decided to save up some funds and purchase the program.

It was hard coming up with the money. Ignotius charges $35 and then supposedly taxes you depending on your city and state. I wound up paying $41. Now the cream & crop of the program is this "magical" CD that has all the available jobs listed on it. It even lists on the website that there was training programs for some of the jobs (such as medical billing). Now you know it takes years to become a certified medical biller but they claimed that you could still do the jobs with their training. Once I tied up my heart and purchased the program, I was immediately given an ID# to log into the member's forum.

Once I entered the forum, I knew in that instant I made a mistake. The forum was full of complaints from customers saying how Ignotius ripped them off of their money and how they couldn't get it back. Half of the members complained that they never received the CD at all! I was consumed with madness and fear because that was the main part of the program, the CD! Then to put insult to injury, Ignotius had an affiliate program and they wanted the workers (us) to go out and refer new customers to their program. I was pissed off because it wasn't good to see how people lost their money but the company wanted us to refer more people to lose money.

Ironically, I was one of the lucky ones to receive a CD. It took about 3-5 days to arrive. When it arrived, it didn't look like the CD pictured on the website; it looked like a CD that a friend could burn music on. I used the ID# to unlock the CD and that's where I lost all hope. The supposed "jobs" that they wanted you to do were more scams! Some jobs I saw were jewelry making, candle making, basically nothing that Ignotius had to offer. I could have found those websites through a basic Google Search.

My honest review: DON'T buy this crap! If you do a search and you find someone promoting this program, they are just an affiliate trying to get back some of the money that Ignotius stole from them. I don't care if Ignotius calls me a big fat liar, I know I'm not. 3 years have passed and people are getting hip to their games. I've looked at the site today and nothing has changed in the 3 years I've seen it. The contact information, the CD, even the testimonials are still the same! All in all, stay away from them!

Until next time,
